In a magical place

Pacific University
This girl

met this guy

and they decided to

and they lived happily ever after!
WAIT! Rewind
This is NOT a fairy tale... it's better because it's real life
They had to miss a day of school to get married, work two jobs each through college and grad school, study hard, pass tests and in the end they managed to graduate with a ton of debt.
They moved around searching for work
made great friends
mourned the loss of people they loved
experienced all of the ups and downs of real life
Some days life was

a walk in the park
other times it was

a rollercoaster ride
The only thing certain was

CHANGE

and MORE CHANGE
Yesterday was a very important anniversary for us -we have now spent half of our lives together.
I don't read fairy tales to my girls much anymore...but when I did I changed the last line. I didn't read "and they lived happily ever after." Instead I said, "and they had good times and bad times and shared them together."
That's real, that's life and, if you ask me, it's better than a fairy tale.

Congratulations. Quite a beautiful story. :)
ReplyDeleteAwwww, sweet Angela. Congratulations. And you are so right about the good and bad times. Shared experiences only make a relationship stronger.
